  70. Thank you for your interest in WinFlash.  You will find this program to
  71. be extremely helpful in memorizing coursework or professional material.
  72. The multi-media capabilities of v3.1 allow for an almost unlimited range
  73. of study materials.  Drawings, pictures, sounds, music and text can all
  74. be combined to cover nearly any learning requirement.

  76. The TrueType font capabilities can be put to use in language studies -
  77. especially where the use of a non-English alphabet is required.  The Ask
  78. Answer First mode is also a natural for language study, allowing the
  79. questioning to occur first in the home language and then the language
  80. being learned.

  82. I've found in my own use of WinFlash that the preparation of the
  83. flashcards is, in itself, a significant aid in learning the material.
  84. The expanded capabilities of the new version make this preparation a fun

  114. To install WinFlash v3.1 from a floppy disk received from Open Windows:
  115.    1.  While in Windows, insert the floppy disk in the drive.
  116.    2.  Open File Manager and select the floppy disk.
  117.    3.  Double click on the file OWSETUP.EXE to run it.
  118.    4.  Follow the on-screen directions.
  119.  
  120. To install WinFlash v3.1 starting with only a copy of FLASH_31.ZIP
  121. (FLASH.ZIP  if obtained from CompuServe):
  122.    1.  Create a temporary directory (C:\WF will do) on your
  123.        hard disk.
  124.    2.  Copy FLASH_31.ZIP to this directory.
  125.    3.  UnZip the file using PKUnZip or other "UNZIPper".
  126.    4.  Run SETUPWF.EXE from Windows.  This will take you through the
  127.        procedure of installing WinFlash v3.1 on your hard disk.  Do NOT
  128.        install the software TO the temporary directory (C:\WF in the
  129.        above example).
  130.    5.  You may delete all of the files in the temporary directory from
  131.        your hard disk after completing the installation process, but
  132.        remember to save a copy of FLASH_31.ZIP on a floppy disk for
  133.        friends who may want to try WinFlash v3.1.

  138. A registered user of any Open Windows program is entitled to a full
  139. refund of their registration fee if they are not satisfied with the
  140. program they have registered. Send a letter to Open Windows requesting a
  141. refund (we'd like to hear why, but that's not a requirement) and stating
  142. that you will discontinue all use of the program upon receipt of your
  143. refund.  It's as simple as that - no questions asked.

  149. the user for evaluation. Feel free to share it with your friends, but
  150. please give them the original FLASH_31.ZIP (or FLASH.ZIP if obtained
  151. originally from CompuServe) file so that they will have all of the
  152. necessary support files. The essence of "user-supported" software is to
  153. provide personal computer users with quality software without high
  154. prices, and yet to provide incentive for programmers to continue to
  155. develop new products.  If you find this program useful and continue to
  156. use WinFlash 3.1 after the 30-day trial period, you must make a
  157. registration payment of $19.95 plus $3.00 S&H to Open Windows.  The
  158. registration fee will license one copy for use on any one computer at
  159. any one time.  You must treat this software just like a book.  An
  160. example is that this software may be used by any number of people and
  161. may be freely installed on multiple computers, so long as there is no
  162. possibility of it being used at one location while it's being used at
  163. another - just as a book cannot be read by two different persons at the
  164. same time.
